Bio Investment Initiative (b-double-i) - The Pitch

Our mission

To change your perspective of waste to resource

We found that if a few simple alternative options are made available, a single person can impact between 25-30 ton of waste generated on a monthly basis. That is close to a ton a day.

The first step is to simply add a few disposal options for items that are currently seen as waste.

This can either be complex, or simple, depends on how you look at it.

For house holds, the minimum should be four bins.

1) Recyclables (such as unspoiled paper & cardboard, plastic bottles & containers, metal cans, batteries, e-waste, and some textiles)

2) Non-Recyclables (such as plastic bags & film, styrafoam, mirrors & window glass, light bulbs, ceramics, medical waste, takeaway coffee cups, diapers, bubble wrap, aerosol cans, and laminated foil pouches)

3) Glass (due to it being sometimes broken or it could be broken during handeling, glass should for health and safety reasons be kept seperate)

4) Compostable waste (such as food-spoiled paper/cardboard (like greasy pizza boxes), food scraps, bones, plant waste, etc, etc)

For business or complexes the amount will vary greatly

Such as for restaurants having smaller buckets at points of process in the kitchen and cutlery cleaning area works well. If you would like to supply your food to a piggery, you need to make sure the compostable waste is placed into three separate buckets.

1) for good eating foods

2) for not so good compostable foods

3) for bones and wooden scraps

What then happens to all of this waste I urge all of you to look a little deeper into.

Take control of the waste you and your company generates, together we could make the rivers drinkable again.

In the coming days I will be expanding on most of the points I have made and I look forward to your feedback.

Goed gaaf
